About

A psychologist, a developer, and a Tyler business owner walk into a bar.

I'm Kyle Kennedy. I have a PhD in counseling psychology from Indiana University, spent a year at Stanford Athletics as a postdoctoral fellow, and I'm a licensed psychologist here in Texas. I also happen to build software.

Nando started because I kept needing custom apps for my own two Tyler businesses (Endeavor Performance Psychology and East Texas Assessment), and the quotes from "real" agencies were always the same: five figures up front, six months out, and a product that still needed a consultant to use it. So I built the tools myself. They worked. Other Tyler business owners started asking who built them. Here we are.

  • PhD, Stanford, and a Division I football career. Counseling psychology doctorate from Indiana, postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford Athletics serving 36 varsity sports, four year scholarship athlete and Academic All Big Ten three times. I know how to work under pressure and how humans actually use tools.
  • Two real small businesses running on my own software. Every app I build for a client is the same kind of app I trust with my own practice. HIPAA aware, audit logged, and built to outlast the first six months of excitement.
  • Local to Tyler. You get me, not a project manager. No offshore handoffs, no "account executive." When you hire Nando you're working with one person. The same person who wrote the code, runs the deploy, and picks up the phone when something needs fixing.

Most of my clients are professional services and specialty businesses in East Texas: clinics, law firms, consultants, and family owned operators who know their industry better than any SaaS vendor ever will, and just need tools that finally fit.

Most clients go with a monthly service fee, sized to scope. It keeps the app improving as your business evolves, and covers ongoing updates, bug fixes, and small adjustments. If you'd rather treat it as a one time project, we also offer a flat lump sum build (50% at signing, 50% at launch). Either way, anything outside the signed specification sheet is billed at an hourly rate with written approval before we start. No silent charges.
